Fashion Slam: Pirates & Princesses Party
By Ryan PattersonLOS ANGELES, Calif. -- My two-and-a-half years old daughter and that i were asked for an adorable party yep, thats her consuming a cupcake company, as you can tell, she's greatly her moms daughter I never met a cupcake I didnt like either! The big event would be a book signing party to celebrate the launch from the new kids book Pirates & Princesses. (Came Barrymore came!) The place: Brooks Siblings on Rodeo Drive, an attractive two-story store I'd only experienced once before. Naturally, the big event was very kid friendly, featuring every kid food fave. There have been silly straws for that drinks (in plastic cups, obviously!), Grain Krispies Goodies, chicken fingers, pigs inside a blanket, Fried potatoes, cotton chocolate, popcorn company, a cupcake bar where kids could personalize for their hearts content. Pirates & Princesses was compiled by Jill Kargman and her adorable eight-year-old daughter Sadie. Both were available to sign books and Sadie was outgoing and friendly approaching and speaking to any or all the children in the party. This being Brooks Siblings, there is lots of classic style available. I felt like I had been home in Charleston, SC for any minute! One dapper guy putting on an activity coat, pink shirt and loafers without any socks, brought to mind Kourtney Kardashians boyfriend Scott Disick, together with his preppy style, slicked back hair and deep tan. My pal Jay, who introduced his two-year-old daughter Izzy, joked that maybe he wasnt preppy enough! There have been several fashionably outfitted youngsters with a few youthful boys in dress t shirts and pants and something little cutie inside a seersucker jacket combined with a stylish print tee. Meanwhile, my daughter was putting on orange cupcake icing! She couldnt wait to see it whenever we got home. She loved it and it has desired to see clearly every evening since that time. Its an adorable book having a nice message, therefore it will get both mother and kids press. Copyright 2011 by NBC Universal, Corporation.
